GCD ACOUSTIFOAM BASS TRAPS
“BottomFeeders”

We call them that ‘cos they eat bass frequencies. Made from the same colour and type of foam as our Acoustifoam tiles but with one difference...

The foam is even denser making it perfect for attenuating frequencies below 500hz and as low as 42 Hz.
2 feet X 1 foot X 1foot
610mm x305mmx305mm
Trapezoidal in shape

Made from 35 kg/m3 Acoustic open cell foam so it is denser than most normal grade foams that are usually only 25 kg/m3
Hardness 160-190 N
Tensile strength 80Kpa
Fire retardance FMVSS 302 , BS EN13165:2001
Approx frequency attenuation
@ 100Hz. < 40db,
@ 250Hz <60db
Compared with polyethers of the same density this acoustic ester exhibits even higher airflow resistance, therefore better acoustical absorption.

Higher hysteresis and lower elasticity. It is very difficult to gauge the amount of sub in your mix or master if you are mixing to the sound that you are hearing in your room, if what you are actually hearing is the resonance and reflections of every surface, roof space, wall space table, desk etc vibrating at its fundamental frequency in harmony with your bass guitar.

You mix bass light as you are hearing lots of 40 Hz in the mix only to find that it wasn’t really coming out of the speakers at all but was there due to your room and its back/front corners clouding the bottom octave of your mix without mercy !!

Perfect for controlling the acoustics of your rehearsal room, studio control room, your home cinema room or your recording area.

Dark grey in colour, which we have found to be very UV tolerant.

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will cause inevitable fading over a long period time.
